The British Council (the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities) is on an exciting journey as it embraces new ways of working to become an organisation that is fit for the future. As the Employee Engagement and Experience Lead, I help the organisation to understand the links between productivity, engagement and effectiveness, and how this underpins delivery of our corporate plan. I’ve developed our global employee survey strategy to help create a culture of ongoing feedback and improvement. I want to make sure that every employee has a positive and fulfilling experience during their career at the British Council. To help achieve this, I’m using our employee survey to better understand the experiences colleagues have and using their feedback to make improvements. This contributes to making the British Council a great place to work and has tangible and measurable business benefits for the organisation.
